Hip Hop Single Sales
This week on the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart, the Top 3 remains as Rihanna, G-Eazy and Desiigner all hold on to their spots. Elsewhere, Chris Brown’s “Back To Sleep” falls from #10 to #16 following a dip in sales and lastly, Beyoncé’s “Halo,” from the singer’s 2008 album I Am... Sasha Fierce, jumps from #93 to #7 following a surprise 668% increase in sales.
Rihanna’s “Work” Stays At #1
That Rihanna reign STILL won't let up as "Work" continues to dominate the R&B/Hip Hop sales chart. During the seven days leading to March 31, the #1 single on the Hot 100 moved 88,580 units, meaning now it has sold a total of 1,216,990 copies since its official release on the charts.
G-Eazy Stands Firm At #2
G-Eazy experienced a 24% increase in sales this week for his single, “Me, Myself & I.” The track, which features on the Oakland rapper’s 2015 sophomore album When It’s Dark Out, sold 66,348 units during the seven days leading to March 31, meaning it lands at #2 for a ninth consecutive week.
Desiigner’s “Panda” Retains Momentum
Coming in at #3 this week is Desiigner’s widely covered single, “Panda.” Moving 49,165 units during the seven days leading to March 31, Panda experienced a notable 57% increase on the 31,229 the single sold last week.
