50 Cent Has Personally Apologised To The Autistic Teen He Mocked At The Airport

50 Cent's decision to post a video of himself harassing an airport employee he believed was high has resulted in backlash after it was revealed that the man he targeted was 19-year-old Andrew Farrell, who suffers from "social anxiety and mild autism". The video has since been deleted, but Farrell's stepfather, has called for an apology, as have many fans on social media.

That apology has now arrived through NY Post, with 50 apologising for the "misunderstanding" as well as disclosing that he had offered a personal apology to the family.

"While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man... It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologised personally to him and his family." While there was rumour that Farrell's family may launch a lawsuit against 50, TMZ now reports that they are happy with a sincere apology. The family has yet to respond to 50's most recent statement.
