On developing a Xanax addiction after moving to LA:
"I looked up and months had passed, and I hadn’t made enough music. It was around this time that he also felt a need to get back to Chicago. I missed a lot of weddings and funerals."
On his creative process:
“When I write, I work off of a theme, an emotion, a narrative — thinking of it and then expounding on it."
On releasing mixtapes and staying independent:
