Travis Scott’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight soars to No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The Houston rapper’s sophomore album, which features André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, and Kid Cudi, sold 88,000 equivalent album units (53,000 traditional) in its first week. Birds garnered 50.2 million streams (33,000 SEA units worth) during its debut week, making it La Flame’s highest-charting album thus far. Rodeo peaked at No. 3 in 2015 with 85,000 units (70,000 traditional).
Hot off the No. 1 album, Scott has also signed a worldwide deal with Grand Hustle Publishing/Universal Music Publishing Group, as per Billboard. His entire catalog will be part of the deal, including Birds. Plus, the rapper is also getting ready to executive produce G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Winter compilation.
