Kylie Jenner Discusses Tyga & Partynextdoor Relationships, Anxiety & Her Lips in 'Comple
Kylie Jenner covers the October/November 2016 issue of Complex.
Beyond discussing the trappings of her fame as a member of reality TV's most-watched family, Jenner also went into detail on her love life -- specifically about dating rapper Tyga, and her rumoured fling with singerPartynextdoor.
"The first year we started hanging out, everyone around him told him not to be with me," she explained of initially dating Tyga. "I still get comments like, ‘Don’t be with him.’ But we’re not doing it for the public -- we love each other. We need to be together at all times. We never get mad at each other, we just figure things out.” She also calls her relationship with Tyga her “first real, mature relationship.”
Kylie also talks about overcoming her personal insecurities, especially with her lips. “It has been an insecurity of mine all my life,” she said, recalling an instance in middle school. “This guy I kissed was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing,’” she remembers, crossing her arms and hunching over. The conversation obviously makes her uncomfortable. “It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”
While she credits her sisters and momager Kris Jenner for helping her cope with the anxiety from fame, she gives a shoutout to the special man in her life for keeping her sane. "At the end of the day I have to live with everything I do,” she said. “I’m just proud of myself for not going crazy. Tyga helped me with that a lot."
