Eazy-E's Daughter Raising Money To Fund Documentary Investigating His Death

Eazy-E's daughter is seeking backing to fund a documentary investigating her father's 1995 death from AIDs-related complications.

Ebie Wright is seeking $250,000 on Kickstarter to cover costs for "A Ruthless Scandal: No More Lies," a documentary that she seeks to uncover “shocking facts and recollections from key people who were connected to the story" about Eazy-E's demise.

"The stories that we're telling are mainly about the scandal surrounding my father's death," Ebie told Rolling Stone. "But we also wanted to show his accomplishments, his personal life and, really, the aftermath of his demise and what happened to us. We never felt the story that was told to the public was the truth. It's just something that has always pained us."

Eazy-E's son has gone on record accusing Suge Knight of murdering his father. In 2003, Suge Knight gave an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in which he may or may not have implicated himself in Eazy's death. “See, technology is so high, right? So if you shoot somebody, you’re going to jail forever,” he said. “So they got stuff where they get blood from somebody with AIDS, and they shoot you with it. So that’s a slow death—that Eazy-E thing.”

"People don't know what happened to his family or me as his kid or what happened to his record label or to all his belongings," Ebie said. "People have the perception that we were all left everything of his and his kids are good and life is peachy keen, but it's really not. It's really a tragic story. And it's just time; it needs to be told."
