Is Nicki Minaj Dissing Remy Ma On ‘Swalla’ & ‘Make Love?’
Yesterday was a great day for Barbz, with two new Nicki Minaj collaborations — Gucci Mane’s “Make Love” and Jason Derulo’s “Swalla” — being released, but it was also a great day for fans who like battle rap. That’s because Nicki delivered what some are calling warning shots for Remy Ma on both of those tracks.
Starting with “Swalla,” which also features Ty Dolla $ign, the cut seems to aim at Remy, who’s been rumoured to be dissing Nicki for the past few months. “I gave these bitches two years, now your time’s up,” raps Minaj. “Bless her heart, she throwin’ shots, but every line sucks.”
The alleged shots continued on Nicki’s Gucci Mane reunion banger “Make Love.” “Go against Nicki, it’s gon’ cost ya,” she rapped. “‘Cause now it’s fuck ya, intercourse ya / I rep Queens where they listen to a bunch of Nas / I’m a yes and these bitches is a bunch of nahs / Trying to win a gunfight with a bunch of knives / I win, get off the bench and give a bunch of fives / I don’t see her / Bitch, I’m ‘The Greatest’, no Kendrick, and no Sia.”
Of course, if Nicki and Remy are targeting one another, it hasn’t been a one-sided affair. On the remix to PHresher’s “Wait a Minute,” it seemed Ma was aiming directly at Nicki. “Will I smoke this bitch? Yes,” she rapped. “Probably fail my piss test / Get rid of those fake breasts / And put a vest on this bitch chest.”
