Snoop Dogg Will Induct Tupac Shakur Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
The upcoming Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me isn’t the only notable thing happening with the late Tupac Shakur in 2017. In late 2016 the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame announced that Tupac Shakur would be inducted into the 2017 class alongside Janet Jackson, Journey, Bad Brains, Yes, Kraftwerk and Pearl Jam. Now Rolling Stone has confirmed that Snoop Dogg will have the honour of inducting the late Los Angeles emcee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Snoop Dogg was an early collaborator with Tupac, and their joint son “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” is still a banger. A separate report from TMZ suggested that Dr. Dre, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2016 with N.W.A., could be joining the Doggfather on stage. However, Rolling Stone confirmed that the lineup has not been solidified yet aside from Snoop. We’d be surprised if Dr. Dre missed the opportunity to honour his late friend, but you never know.
The ceremony will take place on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. There will be a live performance involving Snoop Dogg and whoever else signs up to join him.
