Drake, The Weeknd, Rihanna & Beyoncé Lead Billboard Music Awards Nominations
Drake is at the top yet again. The 6 God leads the nomination pack for this year’s Billboard Music Awards. First announced by Pete Wentz and Julia Michaels on Good Morning America on Monday (Apr. 10), the nominees for the 2017 BBMAs rolled out online, lead by the 6 God who has 22 nominations. Tied with The Chainsmokers who also received 22 nods, Drake will compete in most of the major categories including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album.
Twenty One Pilots comes in second with 17 nominations, followed by Rihanna with 14, The Weeknd with 13 and Beyoncé with 8. Other big names like Adele, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake and Ariana Grande received BBMAs noms, along with A Tribe Called Quest, J. Cole, PARTYNEXTDOOR, DJ Khaled, Lil’ Uzi Vert, Desiigner, and Kevin Gates.
