Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” Debuts at No. 2, Becomes the Highest Charting Single of His Career

After leaving the whole industry on an ice pack last month, Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” has made an equally huge impact on the Billboard charts.

According to Billboard, K. Dot’s new single debuts at No. 2 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. Not only is it Kendrick’s highest charting solo hit so far, it’s the highest debuting rap song since Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” in 2010.

“HUMBLE.” was denied a No. 1 debut by Ed Sheeran’s “Shape,” but with almost 50 million streams and 110,000 downloads, the single tops four other charts: Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, Streaming Songs and On-Demand Streaming Songs.

“HUMBLE.” serves as the first single from Kendrick’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, which is definitely dropping on April 14.
