Met Gala 2017: Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, J. Lo, Migos, Diddy & More
The biggest stars in entertainment and fashion are out on Monday night (May. 1), appearing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the 2017 Met Gala. Hosted by American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, the 2017 edition is co-hosted by NFL Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams. The theme for this year’s extravagant soiree is “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” as Ms. Kawakubo serves as honorary chairwomen alongside Caroline Kennedy, the former United States ambassador to Japan.
Considered the fashion-world’s equivalent of the Oscars, stars from all across the globe make their way to the glamorous event to observe Kawakubo’s exhibition that will include 150 of her most extraordinary designs dating as far back as the early 1980s.
Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Diddy and Cassie, Migos, Frank Ocean, Rita Ora, Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, Future, Janelle Monáe and more showed off their unique and in some cases, flamboyant styles across the red carpet in front of thousands of photographers and press.
