Irv Gotti To Relaunch Murder Inc Records
Irv Gotti had huge success with Murder Inc. Records in early 2000s thanks to his flagship artists Ja Rule and Ashanti. But things went downhill after law enforcement agencies charged him and other members of his label for questionable financial transactions associated with New York City drug kingpin Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff.
Since then, Irv has been trying to re-brand and regroup, getting involved in various side ventures including his management agency Visionary. In 2013, he announced that he will soon bring back Murder Inc. Records (which was renamed to The Inc Records in 2005) but not much development happened. The veteran music executive has now officially announced the relaunch of the label through an Instagram post this morning.
